If the trial is ‘free’, why should you be charged for the shipping? What is the need for letting them know your credit card number etc.?

NEVER give out your credit card details to such websites!!

This is because once the company has your credit card information, the next thing they do is send you more and more such Acai berry pills even if you have not ordered for the same. Your credit card is charged for these bottles too, without your notice! Many innocent people have been robbed of their money in this way. If they try to cancel the order, they are kept waiting for hours. The email gets no response.
